208 - Esmerelda Kennedy (Long-Term Care, the Village of Riverside Glen)

For this episode I interview Esmerelda Kennedy, a recent new-resident in Long-Term Care at The Village of Riverside Glen. Esmerelda has lived in Guelph nearly her whole life, having immigrated here from Italy at the age of five. Growing up along the speed river, and then in the Ward, Esmerelda shares stories from her early days attending St. Stanislaus next to the Church of our Lady, raising her three daughters as a single mom, and her later, 30-year career as a bartender downtown, starting her own business "Bartender on Call", and then her favourite gig in the Priory Room at the Royal Hotel. We're sending Esmerelda best wishes for adjusting to life at Riverside Glen, and appreciate her sharing her story!
