76 Frances Poirier (Village of Riverside Glen)

For this episode I interview Frances Poirier, another new resident at The Village of Riverside Glen. Frances was born and raised in Middleport, went to school in Brantford, and helped out at her family's General Store in Onondaga. Later as she was raising a family, she took over the General Store once more, and she was hard working woman, as the General Store offered a bit of everything - she was the butcher, the grocer, and the gas station attendant. Her store also acted as the post office, and if someone received a letter and wasn't able to write, she'd help them write a reply.

She moved to Guelph to be closer to family, but got here right in the middle of this pandemic, so she hasn't been able to visit with any of them in person yet - we're all hoping there are safer days ahead and that visiting will soon return.

She also wanted us to know that she is only 4'9", in case that helps frame her history :)

Thanks for connecting, Frances!
