For this episode of "Bridging the Social Distance" I interview Mathias Kom of The Burning Hell. Mathias and his band were in the middle of their first ever tour to Australia when the W.H.O declared COVID a pandemic, and the sudden risk of being stranded, and having their travel health insurance cancelled, forced them to cancel the rest and rush back to Canada. I reached him at his home on P.E.I.
We talk about the COVID days - Mathias never imagined the apocalypse would look like everyone baking bread and cutting their own hair.
We talk about Basic Income, and giving Socialism a fair shot.
And we talk about the struggle with the music scene even outside of COVID, the dwindling crowds...wondering if, on the other side of this, will it be worse? Will people be scared to gather? Or will they be more excited than ever to come out, lamenting that they took it all for granted before?
