For this episode, for Global Accessibility Awareness Day, I interview Catherine Livingstone, a University of Guelph graduate, and founder of "The Opal Season" who works as a Dementia care consultant, currently based out of Winnipeg Manitoba. A big part of my working on "Bridging the Social Distance" during the pandemic has been connecting with seniors, using softwares such as Zoom, in order to be able to visit, and share their stories, safely and virtually, despite periods of isolation due to pandemic safety procedures. I wanted to connect with Catherine to discuss how this pandemic is shaping our respective work with seniors, and explore how it may impact our approach to accessibility going forward. You can check out Catherine's work at opalseason.com
